Loft & Lie Adjustments

Loft and lie angles should be checked at least once a season.

Practice (especially on range mats) can slowly bend clubs out of spec from how you were fit. When lofts and lies drift, you’ll often see thin or fat shots, slices, and hooks. A quick check and precise adjustment gets your clubs back to doing their job.

Golf Club Lie Angles

Lie Angle: The angle between the club shaft and the ground when the club is resting properly at address.

How Lie Angle Impacts Ball Flight and Accuracy

Golf Club Loft Angles

Loft Angle: The angle of the clubface that controls how high and how far the ball flies.

Loft angle affects distance control, ball flight, and consistency—especially in scoring clubs. When lofts drift from wear or mat practice, distances overlap, shots lose predictability, and confidence suffers.

Loft Angle Impacts Ball Flight and Distance

More loft sends the ball higher. Less loft produces a lower, longer shot.

If lofts aren’t consistent, distance gaps and ball flight can suffer.
